Ok, I know its unusal for me to write 2 journals in the same week, but I just don't know how to express my thoughts and get feed back. This is the only way that I know how. I hope you don't mind.

I would like to open Pandora's box with this discussion. The Billion dollar question, is there a God?

There are more religions and cults than stars in the sky that claim to know the truth. Why should you even believe me? Well... for one, I'm not asking for your belief, this is just my opinion. Its an annoying question that I just need to answer, better yet... Give my opinion to. Fore the last several months I've doubted God and his existence. The reasons why I left my church are simple, my church acted more like a cult than anything else. But, I was wrong to place blame on the entire religion. That's the source of why many people don't like god, or the idea of a god.

The universe as we know it 186 billion lightyears across and 13.7 billion years old, mostly composed of gas, dust from the base element of hydrogen. The universe as it stands is also the careful balance of Gravity, electromagntetics, and the strong/weak nuclear forces. The set up of the constants of the universe (the settings of the universe) are tuned to allow our universe to exist as we know it. A balance of General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics, also known a the M theory (the theory of everything). As I may have said before, our universe is a freak show. A mathematical oddity in the grand scheme of things. That's just for our universe to exist, life and intelligent life for that fact are also mathematical oddities with in our universe. According to the laws of probabilities and mathematics, we should not exist at all.

Either were the freaks of infinity or God pulled the lever on the slot machine and got the lucky triple seven. The problem is that maybe we could be too close minded to place God in our possibilities book. I believe in a scientific manner and statically speaking there might be a God, a creator to our universe ^^; The likelihood that there's a God is more likely than our universe's existence. Yet, our universe does exist :poke: I'm not going to do the Kirk Cameron crocoduck argument, that's just sad... I just believe as a race/ species that we at least should have room for the possibility of a God, or Gods. I mean scientists believe in string theory, tiny strings whose vibration make up our universe. Or the idea of a man in a white robe, beard who snapped his fingers and created the universe. But, either case we just don't know, its all just a manner of faith.

Another note that make God look bad is the people who try to do the will of god. The people that make the picket signs that say" God hates fags" or "Thank God for dead soldiers" Those are the people that make us close our minds toward God or the possibility of a God. Carl Marx once said that religion is the opium of the masses. Basically it means that you can do whatever the hell you want as long as you put a "god says so" sticker on it. Those douche bags are the people that make any organized faith look bad.

People that talk about the fire and brimstone crap are the people make religion look bad. Those people are the kind that tells us that God hates everyone except them and everything outside their standard of living is wrong. For example, the Westboro church of Topeka, Kansas. Those are the "God hates Fags people" and "God hate you" those are the people that we see when we think of Christianity. I know, and you probably may think this also, if there's a hell... Those people will definitely go there. Such people, such extremist views are looked down upon the regular church and try to stay away from them like a hippie in a republican party convention. Those people that spread hate and intolerance, a singular point of view and moral superiority, I think we know people like them. Adolph Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Margate Sanger, Kim Jong-il, those people took that route ^^; The people under their leadership didn't do so good. Specially the people they persecuted or enslaved. People like like Fred Phelps ( I don't think he deserves the title of pastor) The bastard of Westboro is not like all the leaders in Christianity.

I do admit some are a bit extreme, like the church that I used to go, but not as extreme as Westboro >_>. Its If we look at God and God's message past the loud mouth douchebags spewing fire and brimstone, you see its not that bad. I think that we can hold accountable an entire faith based on the actions of a few douchebags. God is not all about fire and brimstone, its like the little Sunday school saying. Jesus is love, I think that does have truth to that. God's message is about love and tolerance, yes somethings are bad. The Bible is just a 2000 page manual to a human conscience, not 69 ways you'll burn in hell. (Chapter 1: Blame women)

I want to say that I'm open to the possibility of God, more specifically the Christian God  (Jesus Christ) Hey, if physicists believe in invisible energy strings, I think that there's room for Jesus.

(This is from my last journal) Originality Discrimination

There's something that I've noticed on DA that probably you might had noticed too. There's a discrimination of originality going on. IT doesn't sound like much, but consider an observation. A Simple observation that if you draw a fanart of lets... say Naruto or Bleach will get a lot of views. But if you draw an original character of yours you might get a few looks and maybe a :+fav: It might be a beautiful piece of art and you might have worked hard, but people just didn't look at it. For an artist drawing something that took a while to draw, an original concept and not get as much attention (acknowledgment) can be hard.

Why does that happen? Well... you'd think its obvious that your character is unknown and people don't know where to look. But, I think its a bit more than that. A friend that I used to talk to told me that DA kinda discouraged originality, but I don't think so. Its a matter of exposure and concept. DeviantArt is just a place that people can post their art and be individuals. But, over the years well... people like other stuff. The same way people write fanfics of TV shows/books is the reason that people draw fanarts. An original concept on DA is like a planet orbiting a bright star. In other words is hard to see/find.

Though, its an uphill battle for the people who attempt to pursue their imagination, its worth the effort. Its a slow process, in all honestly a process evolution. Like Drawin's theory, only the strongest organisms survive. Only the artists that endure the harsh environment of bad criticisms and judgment. With our imaginations eclipsed by many other commercialized concepts. I'll admit, some are really good and sadly, some are just ways to milk us out money. I feel a certain discouragement toward starting artists who would like to pursue their ideas seriously.

This type of silent discrimination is barely noticeable, but it comes in the form of disappointment. A disappointment by the lack of acknowledgment from the DA community. From outside our circle of friends who :+fav: and comment. One of my friends once told me that DA can either make you or break you. I think that' true up to a point, that point is that either you make art your hobby (meaning you don't care if you when acknowledgment) or when you see your art as more than a hobby (meaning you take it serious). When you see art seriously, the concept of your originality becomes a uphill battle. But, its a battle worth fighting for. A fight for originality and individuality. A fight that I believe it worth fighting for.

The acknowledgment that I'm talk about is not like whoring out for attention. Popularity is no the goal, not what I'm talking about. The acknowledgment of people outside of you circle of friends  is what I'm talking about. A recognition by a random stranger, a person that doesn't know you tell you that he/she likes your art, not just to be courtly, but because they really do. (Not to put down my friends or any others. I'm just trying to explain my point of view) The quest for originality and individuality is not necessarily a futile one. It does take endurance and patience (the key word that everyone hates)

As one last note, Art is a science into itself. Sometimes you'll have to think like an engineer trying to build a spacecraft. Its all trial and errors, sometimes terrors too. ^^; The key is to learn how to use your hardware, software, skill and smarts.  Tutorials are your friends, learn from them and learn from your favorite artists too. Don't copy them exactly, because the odds are that they are probably trying to get it right themselves. I've learned that this is a process that will take time, but the effort and struggle is worth the trip.

Okies, there's absolutely no updates on the comic. At least not worth mentioning. Just try to stay tuned, cause I loled on the dead line. All, I can say is that I'm working on it, now that all the emo drama is behind me, I can finally move forward. I'll keep you posted ^^

I'm pretty sure there's a saying from the bible, "Do un to others." I think people forget this, I'll admit I don't follow it all the time, but I don't discriminate against people (eg Homosexuals) because not only do I believe on some level it's uncontrollable, but at the same time everybody has control over who they are/become.

NOW onto the existence of a "God" figure (I do want input on this). Like Bethelon said, the universe is held together by gravitational pulls and electromagnetic waves that bind everything together in a very neat little (who am I kidding it's huge!) package that is near perfect stability (or has yet to be seen destroying itself completely) everything falls apart when it falls apart but everything else remains held together. That's basically the point I'm trying to get to.

My only question is, what set this balance into motion? Planets, stars, rocks and asteroids, all for the most part kept separated (though there have been some. . . discrepancies?). What actually INITIATED the balance that holds everything in place? There's no answer. So was it God? Was it Aliens (don't be so arrogant as to say its impossible)?

Okay, let's say Aliens created everything in the universe, purposefully placed everything where it is to keep everything from colliding. Where did the Aliens come from? I can't accept the fact that something came from nowhere. So the Aliens were created by what/whom. . . God? Okay, so God created the Aliens, who created the elements, chemicals, and universe around us, and we created. . . a lot of things (or so we think,I mean, who knows if we CREATED things or just are the second, third, or even fourth, to make the same thing). What created God? Is there some ultimately superior plane of existence that we have no way of even comprehending?

I could go on forever with this and love talking about it, and I don't get hostile toward religion until people get preachy, try to push their religion onto me, or aren't open to other ideas.
