Hey Guys sorry for not being around as much there's been a lot of things happening that have taken my time. I've seen my friend's art and I'm really impressed by the progress. I know that I'm not as social as I used to, but I'll make an effort toward being here more often. I guess this is some what of an apology to my friends on DA for not being there for them. I've been working on my art and improving it, but I guess that's a bit selfish of me. I'm really sorry.

With that out of the way, I want to explain a couple of things. Crossing the Rubicon means passing the point of no return. Honestly I think I passed that point 10 years ago. What I mean is that I can't change. (Not as in I can't change personally or my improving myself) I can't change what I want to do. My parents are always pressuring me about returning to mexico and get a career that they want me to have. I do admit I have an interest in aerospace, electronics, engineering, etc. But, I don't see myself doing that anymore. My childhood dream was to go up into space, but looking at it as of right now, that dream isn't realistic. Perhaps when space travel becomes affordable in the next ten to twenty years. My dream and goal is to be a writer and artist. How did my mind change so quickly I'll never know. It was like a switch that turned itself on when I was 17 years old. All, I want now is to finish what I started, to bring my character and their world to life. To share the world my dreams, my hopes, my nightmares and fantasies. I think that's what every artist really wants. When I began thinking about my stories, my characters and their worlds I crossed that point of no return. All I can do at the moment is to continue forward.

Speaking of forward, I need to fill you guys about the status of Toxic Moon (the comic I'm working on) The first things first, I need to apologize... again... About the dead lines for the comic. I'm new at this and I have no prior experience with such a project. All the tutorials about comic making, let's say it only scratch the surface. I have a lot of good friends that are helping me with this project and I really appreciate their help. The thing is that making this comic is a bit more complicated that the comic artists make us believe. There's a lot of planning an hard work. Pouring your heart and soul into each panel is important. There are a lot of factors that go with comic making. The most important factor which should be number one priority and 90% of the work is the story being told in the comic. I slowed down the progress to fix the story a bit. I don't feel comfortable with the flow of the story and a few friends suggested that I change it a bit to target a more generalized audience. I'm aiming toward posting it before the end of the year. So, don't worry guys. It wait will be worth it.

Also, I wanted to talk about a lingering thought that I have in my head. I have an aunt, she is one of the most proud, self righteous, and over critical people that I know. But a few days ago I saw her, she sat on the table with an oxygen mask on her face. She looked pale, dehydrated and exhausted. I felt so awful inside. I hated that woman, she stood by while we were in a deep financial problems. But, when I saw her like that. I felt guilty for for hating her and thinking bad things about her. When I saw her then I thought of what I was doing. No matter how greedy and proud people are, they are still human beings. And paying them back with the same coin is not the answer. I want to be kinder to my aunt and uncle. Right now their family is well... reenacting the movie 2012 (except no special effects) But, yeah even when people hurt us, humiliate us and or ignore us, they are still human. I'm also reminded of Count of Monte Cristo. When Emand looked that his prison cell wall and read the inscription (God Will Give Me Justice) I guess that's the christian version of karma. I'm starting to believe in karma (a bit) But, yeah I'm gonna try to be a better person specially to the people who have hurt me in the past. Paying with the same coin isn't the answer. My dad has a saying "La venganza es mala, mata el alama y la envenena" It means (Vengeance is bad, it kills and poisons the soul) With what I've seen with my eyes, I've begun to believe it.
